Plenty-Diversified is all about sharing. Specifically, we’re all about sharing what we’ve learned while creating and maintaining our sites, with style, on the cheap – or even better – for free! Our particular preference is for content-driven sites with straightforward design and easy navigation. Probably the most high tech detail we utilize is image rollover, we generally say “No” to flash for the sake of flash.
At some point when we were hand-coding the web pages, we had an epiphany and realized, “You know, like as not someone has done something real close to what we’re aiming for here, maybe better and possibly even FREE.” We’re all for using someone’s free design idea as a jumping off point, with the rise of Open Source and GPL (GNU Public License) software, sometimes the best things in life really are free!
We started thinking, “Gosh, it sure would have freed us up for more creative time if we’d had to spend less time sleuthing out good resources for free or inexpensive web design and business tools. Maybe other people are looking for the same things we were?” And, of course, things being what they are – the search is never really over. Every new project has a new research component, so there’s always more info to share with you.
